FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
- Convenience + freshness. Local MCP via npx is full-power and always free — 245 events, all 5 tools, unlimited local queries. Pro adds a hosted endpoint at mcp.causari.ai so you don't need to run npx or maintain a local process. It also gets weekly CKG updates (new verticals, fixed links, improved evidence) automatically — local install only updates when you bump the npm version.
- Honest answer: the hosted endpoint infrastructure is built and dry-run verified, but we want one iteration on production polish — rate limiting, billing edge cases, error monitoring — before taking money. Waitlist = real demand signal for us, zero risk for you. We'll email once, when it opens.
- Model Context Protocol — the open standard for giving structured data to AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.). Causari exposes 5 MCP tools: query_events, causal_chain, historical_resonance, predict_scenarios, and org_knowledge. Your agent calls them like function calls and gets structured JSON back — not prose from memory.
- It's a private CKG running alongside the world graph. You feed it your ADRs, incident reports, decision logs, or internal wiki — and your agents can query 'what caused the 2023 payment outage?' or 'what preceded the decision to migrate to Postgres?' alongside world causal history. We ingest from Notion, Confluence, Linear, and custom sources.
- Causari is the company + infrastructure (the CKG dataset, MCP server, hosted platform). Powflow is the visual canvas product on top of it. Same team, two surfaces: Causari MCP is the developer/agent surface; Powflow is the human visual surface. Both read from the same CKG.
- The MCP server is open source — clone it, npm install, done. On Enterprise we support Cloudflare Worker, Docker, and k8s deployment for your private org CKG. Powflow canvas is not separately licensed for self-hosting.
- Cancel anytime — access continues until end of paid period. Personal events stay on Free tier (up to 5 readable). Hosted endpoint access stops; local MCP via npx is always free regardless.
- Personal scope: only you. Org scope (Team/Enterprise): your team only. World scope (curated CKG): public — same data anyone with local MCP can read. We never share personal scope data.
